Today has been a very relaxing Friday. I worked for a couple of hours this morning, then had the rest of the day off. I made myself a taco salad, started working some more on Kevin’s wall art, cleaned the apartment, continued packing my suitcases & boxes, & kept the TV on in the background. Quite a productive Friday.
Then I decided that since I had the time, I would take the bus (free of charge) to Barnes & Noble at the shopping center by Elon in order to read up on their wedding books on which I definitely didn’t want to throw down money.
Most of the books were all planners and organizers which I definitely did not need…seeing as I already made one myself! I like it better because I have tailored it to exactly what I need, & it didn’t cost ~$40.
Then I found these books:
Girls, ya’ll are supposed to know stuff too. When I told Jaja, my “mOH” (the lil’ m is for MAID…because I got a big M too…my MATRON of Honor aka “MOH”), she said, “I’ll just wing it.”
But, according to these books, the bridesmaid’s main job is to keep the bride from stressing out. FYI.
So once I got all of the books I thought might be interesting, I took them to the Starbuck’s Cafe seating area located in practically every Barnes & Noble. I ordered myself a Fiji water & blueberry scone. Then I made myself comfortable.
Most of the books I thought would be interesting were not. Wop. Kinda a let-down. But then I flipped through this book &….ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!!
The book divided itself into around 6 styles of weddings with coordinating color themes. The two themes & colors that I loved the most were the Organic Minimal
& Found
I love both of these palettes. I was just excited because I think I have a better idea of the colors I want incorporated into the scrabble theme!! Woohooo! Getting more excited by the day!
Spending money on Sweets?!?!?
you have to approve everything before it goes up?!?
